Sanibel - sea shells on sea shore

Friday, September 12, was my 30th birthday. I was surprised with a weekend getaway to Sanibel and Captiva Islands, which are known for their shell beaches and wildlife refuges.   It was a wonderful experience staying at the West Wind Inn facing the beach and pool deck.  The room was relaxing and the walk to the beach was short – allowing us the ease of shell hunting during low tide without hassle. We were visiting during the slow season so there weren’t many other tourists – which I love.  I had poolside drinks and came home with more shells than I could carry.  Overall, I would say that Sanibel is going on my ‘places I need to visit every year’ list!

These are the images I captured during our stay at the West Wind Inn on Sanibel Island.
